Rental terms

The basic terms. A manager confirms them for your car and dates before you sign the contract.

Driver

22 or older, with a licence held for 3+ years

Documents

Passport, residence permit (if any), driving licence, an address in Hungary or Europe; an international licence if you are not a Hungarian citizen

Rental period

From 2 days; monthly off-season, from 1 October

Deposit

€200–400 depending on the car, no card hold; cash, transfer or Revolut, in any currency

Prepayment and cancellation

From €100 (part of the deposit) secures the booking; not refunded if you cancel less than 14 days before

Deposit refund

One month after a trip in Hungary, two months after a trip abroad; in full if there are no fines

Mileage

Unlimited from 4 days; under 4 days, 500 km a day included, then 85 Ft/km

Fuel and washing

Clean with a full tank, returned the same way. Wash €30 (12,000 Ft), deep cleaning €125 (45,000 Ft)

Insurance

Does not cover tyres, rims, mirrors, glass, chips or cracks; the customer pays for these

Pick-up and return

Free 09:00–21:00, €50 21:00–09:00; takes up to 40 minutes

Airport or hotel

€20 09:00–21:00, €50 21:00–09:00

Travel abroad

€60 per rental; we pay for one foreign vignette

Free of charge

Second driver, child seat or booster, Hungarian vignette and Hungarian toll roads

Consultation

On parking, traffic rules and getting around the city: 10,000 Ft an hour

Disputes

If we cannot agree, you can turn to the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület, 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99, bekeltet.hu) or the consumer protection authority (kormanyhivatal.hu)
