Cookie policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. This page also covers data kept in the browser without cookies (localStorage). Below is everything our site uses.

Necessary, no consent needed

These keep the site working and do not track you, so the law allows them without consent (section 155(4) of Hungarian Act C of 2003 on electronic communications).

`rentacar-request-draft`

What it does: Remembers what you filled in on the request form (dates, car, name, phone) so it isn't lost if you leave the page.
Where: In your browser (localStorage). It reaches us only if you send the request.
How long: Until you send the request or clear your browser data.

`locale`

What it does: Remembers the language you chose.
Where: Cookie on our site
How long: 1 year.

`theme`

What it does: Remembers the light or dark theme you chose.
Where: In your browser (localStorage)
How long: Until you clear your browser data.

`__cf_bm`, `cf_clearance`

What it does: Protect the site from bots and attacks. Set by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, only when it checks a visit.
Where: Cloudflare cookie
How long: Usually 30 minutes.

Cloudflare Turnstile

What it does: Checks on the request form that a person, not a bot, is sending it. To do this it reads technical data about the browser and device.
Where: A Cloudflare frame in the form (challenges.cloudflare.com)
How long: Only for the check.

Statistics and ads, only with consent

The site does not use statistics or advertising cookies at the moment. If we add any, we will ask for your consent first.

Map

The map on the home page loads only when you press the button to show it. Your browser then fetches the map from OpenStreetMap's servers (tile.openstreetmap.org), which receive your IP address and browser details. The map sets no cookies. Details in the Privacy policy.

How to change your choice

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them; it just won't remember your language, theme or the form you filled in.

How we use personal data: Privacy policy. Questions: rentacarbud@gmail.com or +36 70 302 5577.
